ACHEMA 2009 -visit the interactive learning exhibit on the World Wide Web

Together with its partners, the University of Applied Sciences Wildau, the German National Library of Science and Technology (TIB), FIZ Technology, the Leibniz Association and MedInnovation, FIZ CHEMIE is approaching the largest and most complex trade show exhibition in the history of the institution.  We have a large editorial team planning and developing an exhibition space for science and technology for the ACHEMA trade show, which will open its doors to visitors from around the world next week, from May 11 to 15 at the trade fair grounds in Frankfurt am Main. An exhibition space of 180 m² will be transformed into a walk-through jungle landscape with real, hands-on exhibits for current areas of research and education at the University of Applied Sciences Wildau as well as explanatory information terminals for preparation, consolidation of knowledge and follow-up for the exhibits, drawing on FCH's own ChemgaPedia  education encyclopedia. At the same time, the coordinated exhibit of FIZ CHEMIE Berlin and the University of Applied Sciences Wildau opens a new chapter in the trade show's history. For the first time, trade visitors and interested members of the public can explore the exhibits of an ACHEMA show stand in advance and acquire background knowledge on current areas of research and instruction for chemical process technology and biosystem technology using extensive learning modules.  This also gives the numerous visitors from schools and universities the opportunity before and after the most important convention for chemical technology, environmental protection and biotechnology to prepare actively with their teachers and instructors for discussions with our experts at the exhibition stand.

Visitors will also find a quiz question for each of the exhibits presented in the learning modules.  If one answers at least five of ten questions correctly, the exhibition team has a small surprise waiting for him.
