This year for the first time, FIZ CHEMIE is an official sponsor of the fall meeting for the ACS from August 16 to 20, 2009. The American Chemical Society (ACS) has been an important cooperation partner of FIZ CHEMIE for many years. Each year in the spring and fall, the ACS holds the largest international gathering for chemistry in the US. For about the past 35 years, these meetings have been accompanied by the “secret” Harry’s Party put on for three years by FIZ CHEMIE. At the 238th ACS Meeting this year in Washington DC, this traditional party will now take place officially for the first time on August 17, 2009 at 5:00 pm in the Westin Hotel. All visitors to the ACS meeting are welcome at the party!
