The goal of the sponsorship awards supported by FIZ CHEMIE is to make scientific excellence visible and to support and encourage talented young researchers.

The FIZ CHEMIE Berlin Prize honours doctoral dissertations and diploma theses that represent outstanding performance in the further development of  the field of chemistry, information and computers (CIC). In addition to our managing director Professor Deplanque, the jury includes two experts on chemoinformatics from the CIC specialist section of the German Chemical Society (Gesellschaft Deutscher Chemiker).

The CINF-FIZ Scholarship for Scientific Excellence awarded annually by FIZ CHEMIE at the autumn meetings of the American Chemical Society honours innovative ideas of the next generation of international researchers relating to computer-aided preparation and use of specialist chemical knowledge. Poster presentations are evaluated for this purpose.

The lifelong work of scientists focussing in particular on computer-supported chemistry and chemical structural clarification is honoured by the Chemical Structure Association Trust (CSA Trust) with the Mike Lynch Award. FIZ CHEMIE supports this initiative as a member of the CSA Trust.

The professional development of young researchers is the focal point of the CSA Trust Grant, which is likewise supported by FIZ CHEMIE.
